Let Wisdom Rise, and Green Bloom
Ranjit Chakraborty
A veil of gray now, although sky once blue,
A poisoned kiss, for me and you.
The Earth, she weeps, a silent tear,
As toxins rise, and futures fear.
The rivers choke, on plastic’s blight,
No silver flash, of fish in flight.
The ocean’s heart, a swirling tomb,
Where coral fades, in shadowed gloom.
The ancient trees, a fallen crown,
Their whispered secrets, today trampled down.
The forest’s breath, a smoky sigh,
As flames consume, beneath the sky.
The air we breathe, break the chain,
Of fumes and dust, and acid rain.
The ozone’s shield, a fragile lace,
As warming winds, our futures chase.
The polar bears, on shrinking ground,
Their mournful eyes, a world unbound.
The ice retreats, a chilling sight,
As rising seas, extinguish light.
We built our world, on greed and might,
Ignoring nature’s fading light.
We chased our dreams, with reckless hand,
And left a scar, upon the land.
But hope remains, a flickering spark,
To mend the wounds, and leave our mark.
To heal the Earth, with gentle care,
And breathe again, the cleansing air.
Let conscious choices, guide our way,
To cleaner skies, and brighter day.
Let wisdom rise, and Green bloom,
And banish darkness, and the gloom.
For every child, a future bright,
Where nature thrives, and stars ignite.
Let’s heed the call, before it’s late,
And seal our fate, a world elate.
