Her Light Within My Heart
(A Romantic Recital Sonnet)
Dr Madan Chandra Karan
Thy pretty glance outshines the twilight’s gleam,
More lovely than the bloom on springtime’s crest.
Thy gorgeous soul flows like a gentle stream,
Alluring, even when the world finds rest.
Thy voice — so appealing — calms the stormy air,
Thy stunning grace doth halt both time and tide.
In all that’s beautiful, thou hast a share,
And with thy gaze… the stars themselves abide.
So attractive art thou — not just in face,
But in thy heart, where tender virtues live.
Thy ravishing charm is veiled in silent grace,
And with each breath, more joy thou dost me give.
In thee I find the life I long to start…
The moon, the muse — the keeper of my heart.
